GameRoks Review: Mario Kart Wii. Manos al Volante! Sometimes More Of The Same Is Good.

Mario Kart Wii

Mario Kart Wii is more like a compilation of the greatest tracks the series has offered through out its very long history, and although you will see more of the same with sharper graphics, the added gameplay and new wheel accesory, will more than make up for familiarity. Y que es lo nuevo de Mario Kart Wii? Well, bikes! This new vehicle entry into the series adds a little variety, not only revitilizing the game but also capitalizing on what Wii does best, multi-player experiences. With new vehicles, of course you’ll have to learn new maneuvers. These new skills wont be used on the road, you’ll need to get your waggle on while hitting ramps that launch your racers into the air. Motion control will allow you to perform daredevilish stunts while you grab some air, if performed correctly you’ll get that much needed turbo boost.
Yoshi On Bike

Mario Kart Wii nos intruce motocicletas y mucha diversión en grupo. Si a tu familia le encanta jugar en conjunto, las carreras frenéticas de Mario y su pandilla seran la cita de cada noche. Off the bat you will notice the music that plays while you are choosing your mode and racer, music that you would hear on a serious driving simulator, essentially the tunes will set the tone for arduous competition to come. Your favorite characters are back and some new ones that you will unlock upon completion of the various modes. Besides the usual classes and difficulties, you have the standard time trials, challenges, and new to the console editions of Mario Kart, Online play. It took Nintendo a long time, but we finally have a solid online racer on the Wii. And as we pout like spoiled children at a candy store for the lack of voice chat, we can satisfiyingly say, the use of the packed in “Mario Kart Channel” is brilliant. Not only will you be able to track your friend’s online status, all sorts of stats will be available to quench the thirst of even the most number crunching statistician. Once you activate the Mario Kart Channel on your Wii, Nintendo will notify you of upcoming karting tournaments, upload “ghost data” for you to compete against, and leader boards boasting your current ranking. To improve your ranking, you will have to enter competitions composed of up to 11 other players. They too will be using the added number of vehicle options included in the title. Both bikes and karts offer three choices each, from dirt bikes to classic wheels, everyone will have a ride to pimp. You’ll have to be smart and choose a racer with the attributes that fit your driving style, if you want to make it to the top.

Mario Shooting Shells

I just wanted to give my opinion as to what I think is one of the best games out so far…I have to say, hands down, that Mario Kart for the Nintendo Wii is what the future of video gaming is all about. I’m not gonna lie, at first when i saw the presentation of the game, i thought to myself, “What the hell is so special about introducing a wheel that already came with that 4×4 monster truck racing game that was released during the launch of the wii? I did have my doubt, but still went to purchase it. I’ve been late to work these past 4-5 days because of me playing it until the “wii” hours of the morning!!!..lol! I really recommend this game to anyone who purchases the nintendo wii. I think the only issue that i kind of hate on a bit, is the fact that nintendo takes so long to release games for the virtual console in the wii shop channel. Other than that the system is a must have for those parents who want to avoid having their kid become a lazy fat couch potato!! I give respect to the Sony Playstation and Xbox fans out there, but when you can actually break a sweat playing a video game, and almost feel like you got a work out in for the day, to me… its PRICELESS…

just wanted to express myself a bit and say whats up to a long time friend of mine Mr. GameRok!

    Ant,

thanks for your thoughts! Nintendo has found a secret formula to put out the same games without sacrificing fun gameplay. They are making them really fun everytime. As far as the wheel accessory is concerned, it takes getting used to, can’t see myself playing the game with out now. Mario Kart Wii is fun as hell all Wii owners should get it ASAP.
