Nintendo Disappoints All In This Year’s E3.
Anyone who loves video-games, weather you consider yourself a Nintendo hater or are extremely passionate about the big N, you pay attention to each year’s E3. They always seem to realease something to get you excited or get you scratching your dome.
This year was no different, the anticipation was huge with rumors of new hardware and fanboys praying that new games will be shown. Games were shown, just none of the ones we expected, or wanted really. To sum it up, we have the MotionPlus Wii-mote attachment. It alledges to give you full 1:1 control over games, if this does what it claims, then games will finally play how they were meant to on the Wii. Then Wii-Speak was revealed, a microphone capable of picking up multiple voices, as if you were in a conference room. I like the idea, too bad it’s way too far behind the times. Next, GTA fans would most likely not own a DS, but maybe now they’ll have another reason to purchase the handheld. “Grand Theft Auto China Town Wars” was annouced, details forth coming.

The show began with Carrot Top’s clone taking the stage and showing us what we knew would eventually come, Wii Snowboarding games using the Balance Board. The presentation was so boring I lost interes
t and already forgot what I saw. Next, Nintendo’s President Iwata took the stage and slapped us around with facts and numbers we already knew. After three borderline comatose states, I woke to Wii Sports Resort presentation. At this time they briefly went over what the Wii MotionPlus accessory is and does. It will come bundled with the new Wii Sports game. this was probably the most impressive aspect of the whole presentation but in no means was what I was hoping to see. No new DS, although, Films Aime gave a speech that sounded as he was about to bring out to the stage only to announce the end of the conference. In deed very disappointing.
And since we did not get anything we wanted out of the conference, I leave you with the lowlight of the entire show. The most akward and annoying presentation I have ever seen at E3, the Wii Music preview. I will spare you the horrid details, trust me when I tell you that I wish I had not seen this.
