My Aquarium Review
By El Pollo Di Diablo
My Aquarium is one of the newest titles on Nintendo’s WiiWare. It’s hard to really call this a “game” as it is more of a time distracting application. Costing a mere 500 Wiipoints( Cinco Dolares!), my Aquarium is a bargain, considering you A). like fish and B). have a lot of space left on your Wii system.
To start, you have 7 “tanks” in which to make aquariums. You can decide on the glass type, lighting, and floor variants. Once that is done you can place items in the tank, ranging from Coral to little Frog figurines. After that, it’s time for the star of the game, the fish! My aquarium lets you start with about 14 fish types, but the longer you keep the program on your Wii, the more fish will become available to you, about 40 in all. The fish range from the Clownfish “a la” Finding Nemo, to Yellow Barracuda’s and small Jellyfish. After populating your fish tank you can choose to feed them, or simply watch them swim back and forth across your TV.
And that’s pretty much it. You can change the music to various classical songs, but otherwise it is a relaxing distraction after a hard fought game of Gears of War.
GameRoks Score: 6/10
