I Played Another Girly Game…
Although I don’t think it was meant to be a game for the ladies, Helix gets you moving like those personal trainers wearing body suits that are immorally tight. Granted the graphics for these games are terrible at best, the techno originals included will have you waving your arms in the air like you just don’t… care for good music that is. Cheesy techno is what makes those infomercials millions of dollars in DVD sales, so why not give this digital download a try?
It’s by no means the greatest downloadable game available but my wife and my sister in law had a blast “working out to it.” Simplicity folks, yes simple simplicity sometimes has its advantages and Helix has “simple” all over its digital make up. Bland graphics, cheesy music, controls that are ok at best, would make any other game a chore to play. For some reason watching women enjoy this game as if it was the new cardio workout of the Jamba Juice generation had me wondering if calories indeed could be burned by raving to its sounds. So, yeah I tried Helix and it’s really not as bad as the so called critics have emphatically stated it is. The game is what it is, a simple download that will have you or the workout freaks in your life moving around to a new age robot instructor. No worlds to conquer, no achievements just enjoyment and that’s what some games should have.
