Any movie that inspires an ocean of puns is either a complete disaster or simply brilliant. This campy B-movie falls in the realm of being fun. And isn’t that what we go to the movies for? If you base your decision of attending by the trailer, you are missing a rare opportunity to see a film that blatantly spits in the face of thespian conventions and good taste, all while wetting your moral’s white t-shirt.

Spring breakers in Arizona are out on the lake, too bad for them so are carnivorous prehistoric piranhas. A small tremor has opened a crevice freeing thousands of sadistic hungry blood thirsty fish. Meanwhile, a porno film crew arrives on the scene in desperate need of a location scout. Jake Forester, a local son of a Sheriff, reluctantly agrees to take on this “arduous” job. While hundreds fist pump on the beach, lake authorities are requested to escort a seismology team.

The gore and the nudity are over the top and gratuitous. In this economy I’ll take all the gratuities I can get. The pacing of the movie is perfect, nothing drags or plays overly sappy. Laughs are abundant while managing to set a suspenseful tone. Although you may be watching one of the most non-serious movies of 2010, each sequence is entertaining enough to be worth the price of admission. Every aspect of Piranha 3D seems to have been created to fill a void that has been missing in theaters. It injected the thrill of sensory stimulation and evoked all my favorite emotions. If for nothing else, see it for the Lorena Bobbit tribute.

Logre encontrar la niñera perfecta. Cuesta apenas $40 y esta disponible a cualquier hora del día. Mejor aun, no tiene compromisos así que la puedes tener por las horas que quieras. No se trata de un robot, nada por el estilo. Se trata del nuevo éxito para Wii, Disney Sing It: Family Hits.

Con canciones de las películas mas adorables de la marca Disney tu y tus pequeños cantaran por horas. Sencillos extraídos de películas taquilleras como Aladdin, Toy Story 2, Little Mermaid, y muchas mas, no te cansaras de ver las sonrisas en tu hogar. Seamos honestos por un instante, muchas de estas caricaturas animadas causan sueño al verlas en el cine. Al menos yo siempre tomo estas dos horas para recuperar dos horas de sueño. Afortunadamente Disney tuvo a los padres en mente al momento de diseñar este juego.

Absolutamente todo de esto juego ayuda para crear un entretenido rato con tu pequeños. Ademas de ponerlos a cantar, las canciones incluyen las escenas animadas con una definición espectacular. A ratos, tus niños, o quizás hasta tu, se hipnotizaran mirando las mini-películas disponibles con cada canción.

Técnicamente hablando el micrófono funciona lo suficientemente bien como para darte la satisfacción de que estas participando en un karaoke. Puedes calibrarlo para que no confunda el sonido de la television con la de tu voz, quizas sea un poco complicado este pasa al principio, pero es necesario para que la experiencia sea la mejor posible.

Los dibujos animados son geniales y hay bastante que experimentar en este disco. El precio es genial para lo que ofrece Family Hits, sin duda alguna tendras muchas horas de diversion. Si buscabas el video-juego perfecto para disfrutar junto a tus pequeños, este es un mega exito que amerita un espacio en tu colección.

Hasta que se confirmo oficialmente la existencia del ahora ya famoso Nintendo 3DS. La primera consola de video-juegos capaz de reproducir en tercera dimension sin la necesidad de ante-ojos speciales. Muy pronto vendremos con videos.

El mas reciente video-game de Microsoft Studios proclamaba que tendria mucho de lo esperado. Crimen, accion y ilicita diversion es lo que el publico pedia. But was it worth the wait?

Right past the well rendered HD cut scene we get to a game that smacked my face with a strong upper-cut of deja vu. Of course the city is the same, for some reason I thought a new game required a totally new environment. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of what you see has been refined, remastered to be a tad bit noticeble to the untrained eye, I just wished we would of gotten a revamped city. On the positive, the game becomes familiar quickly. That is until the zombies show up. Yup, you read right. Zombies.

I rather not waste your precious scroll wheel with an in depth down to the very pixel review, this game is fun. If you liked the original Crackdown you will absolutely loves this new title. New guns, vehicles, side missions and of course Zombies. Not sure why all the top tier games have decided to go the easy route and throw zombies in all their sequels, but in this case it works. It makes running a fictitious someone over with a bus a little less controversial. Everything you would expect from a sandbox game is here. From stealing cars to retaking tactical strongholds, over top crime fighting has never been so ambitious. With all the carnage, I almost forgot that there’s an actual story.

A city has been over run by a terrorist group trying to expose the agency for creating a genetic strain that has caused the zombie LA Lakers championship celebration. Your mission is to take control of the city from the rioting zombies and help eliminate the terrorist threat. The formula is almost an exact replica of the first game with an increase in challenge. Companies, like Nintendo, live and die by their “if ain’t broke don’t fix it” philosophy so I can’t condemn Microsoft Studios for their design choice. The game works does more than satisfies the fun criteria and entertain mature gamers as it should. The addition of many multi-player options will maintain Crackdown 2 fresh for months.

Súper Mario Galaxy 2 no es muy diferente al primer fantástico juego con el mismo nombre, pero eso no necesariamente es algo negativo. Piénsalo como estar en el cine mirando una película de suspenso que no quieres que termine.  Mario Galaxy uno fue tan increíble que no quise que tenga fin, pero lo tuvo. Ahora viene la segunda parte para alimentar nuestra hambre de diversión con este plato fuerte. Nintendo nos envio una copia y a continuacion mi opinion.

¿Que lo hace igual o mejor al primero? Bueno, cualquier juego con Yoshi instantáneamente se convierte en un clásico. Los controles de Galaxy 2 han sido mejorados al punto de la perfección. La verdad es que no encontré ninguna falla mientras controlaba Mario y su dinosaurio domestico.  

Navegando las galaxias se pone aun más fácil con el nuevo formato del mapa, y por si fuera poco, los gráficos, colores, y sonido son llevados a notro nivel.

Mario es Mario y es muy difícil que no sea otro éxito. La receta que llevo a mover millones de copias de este lindo juego se repite con un poco de condimentos agregados que le dan un sabor maravilloso y una presentación esplendida. Al fin lo que encontraras un banquete de risas y retos entretenidos.

La dificultad sube un poco pero eso hará que inviertas más horas en obtener las estrellas necesarias para completar tu misión. Claro que hay algo que falta, en esta vida nada es cien por ciento perfecto. Me hubiera gustado que agreguen voces y no textos largo para avanzar le cuento, pero esto no detractara nada lo que una experiencia cósmica para no olvidar.

So I recently got my hands on the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom collector’s edition fighting stick for Wii. Not being any good at fighting games should be reason enough not to drop the exorbitant cash required on this item. Unlucky for my finances, I have a sweet tooth for cool looking peripherals.  A few groans and mad looks from the wife later, I was opening this graphic intensive box to reveal one the most eye grabbing control pads I have seen.  It looks good, but how does it control? How does it feel?

Anything that improves my arcade fighting skills even slightly deserves praise. I have the worst fighting techniques imaginable, I have no idea why but I just can’t put together all the sequences programmed to execute even a simple fireball. Blind button mashing is how I get things done, and this fighting stick, carefully crafted by Mad Catz, is the performance enhancing drug my timid hands needed to get past the first stage hump.

Not sure why, but any accessory heavier than the console that it’s for, is usually worth having in your arsenal of plastic. In this case I was more than satisfied with my purchase, I was confident in my fighting skills and anxious to take any Japanese fighting pro on.  The quality is top notch–frankly it may be too good for Wii. All the parts used on this peripheral seemed to be derived from some magical well of awesomeness. The responsiveness of the joystiq and buttons is perfect and while the art on the face is a bit over the top, it caters to the fans of the franchise.  This would be the end all of all fighting sticks if it was wireless out of the box, unfortunately for your lap and style, you are required to plug it to your free dangling Wii Remote while in use. Semi-wireless or not, I’m glad I have a tool that can help me be more than a button masher.

Nintendo nos mando una copia de su nuevo proyecto, que te parece si de una nos sumergimos a nuestra opinión. Un mar de diversión es lo que ha preparado Nintendo en este simulador oceánico. Alistaste para pegarte el chapuzón más singular, es mas no creo que exista una experiencia que iguale a lo que es Endless Ocean: Blue World en cualquier otra consola. No es exactamente un juego común, es una aventura acuática que deja la exploración de todo un mundo a tu imaginación.

Lo exquisito de este título es la manera en que tú y un amigo, por medio de Nintendo Wi-Fi, podrán explorar toda la variedad del océano al mismo tiempo. Es más, usando el micrófono de Wii Speak, podrán mantenerse en contacto y coordinar las responsabilidades de cada uno. Blue World se caracteriza por su relajante paso y bellos colores. Las especies marinas son miles y tendrás muchas horas para descubrir todas las maravillas que habitan el océano. Pero la exploración no es lo único que esta a tu disposición. Encontraras opciones de juego para todos los gustos. Por ejemplo, tendrás que escapar o intentar calmar a los reyes del mar, los tiburones o mantener a los peces saludables con tu pistola Pulsar.

La opción de seguir el juego en una forma linear o de historia también existe pero no esperes que sea un cuento épico. Básicamente controlaras a un personaje llamado Oceana, una mujer que investiga misterios que su padre explorador nunca termino de descubrir antes de su muerte.

Endless Ocean: Blue World es una aventura educativa que no solo expone a tu familia a la exploración, también te ensenara sobre las diversas especies que existen en nuestro océano. Sin duda alguna, Nintendo ha puesto mucho énfasis en la presentación para que todos los peces, ballenas, y otras creaturas del mar salgan con mucho detalle y color. Además, la música y todo el espacio para explorar a tu disposición, es suficiente para mantener a gusto por muchos meses.

Disfruta algo relajante y sin presión de alcanzar puntos o niveles. Explora el mar y encuentra la sonrisa debajo de este ficticio y agradable mar.
